The studs do not match the desired center
Do not move the attachment off suitable support just to center the picture. A compatible bracket with appropriate lateral adjustment may solve the layout. Other cases need a revised position or properly designed backing. Check the mount's permitted attachment method first.
The mount blocks a connection
Compare rail positions with the TV's ports before lifting it onto the wall. A different bracket, permitted spacer arrangement or appropriate connector may help. Do not force a plug against the wall or make unauthorized changes to the bracket.
The wall finish is uneven
A stone face, decorative panel or uneven plaster surface can prevent the wall plate from seating as intended. Establish the support and approved mounting arrangement before tightening. Pulling a bracket against an irregular finish can damage the surface or distort the installation.
The cable route is obstructed
Blocking, insulation, masonry or utilities may prevent the route you imagined. Discuss alternatives such as an external cord cover or moving the source equipment. Avoid expanding holes without understanding the obstruction.
The TV will not turn as far as expected
Screen width and nearby objects can limit a full-motion bracket before its mechanical stop. Measure the TV edges at each useful position and allow cable slack. The advertised swivel angle may not be achievable with your screen on that wall.
Photograph the problem and provide the TV and bracket model numbers when requesting help. An installer can evaluate a proposed change more efficiently with the actual equipment details than with a screen-size estimate alone.
