Technology and artwork on the same wall

For this Monterey installation, we mounted the television on a full-motion bracket and concealed its cabling inside the wall. We also hung the framed seascape above the screen.

The artwork and television form a vertical arrangement beside the window and the room’s blue upholstered chair. The full-motion bracket gives the TV an adjustable position, while the painting stays in place above it.

A cable finish that supports the room

In-wall concealment keeps a hanging cable run from interrupting the wall between the television and the lower connection point. Combined with the framed painting, the finished installation fits into the room’s existing furnishings.

Planning a moving screen beside artwork

For a similar project, show the whole wall in your photographs, including pictures, furniture and nearby windows. The screen needs clearance in its intended positions, and the connected cables need enough slack for the movement. Picture placement should be considered alongside the television’s complete outline.
