Find the weight without the stand
Start with the exact television's specifications. Packaging weight and weight with the tabletop stand are different from the mounted load. Compare the correct figure with the bracket's rated capacity and check the supported VESA pattern at the same time.
Include attached accessories correctly
If the mount will also support a soundbar bracket or another accessory, check how the manufacturers account for that load and whether the combination is approved. Do not assume unused capacity on one component makes the entire assembly compatible.
The wall is a separate part of the system
A bracket rated for a heavy television does not establish the strength of its attachment to your wall. Studs, masonry, backing and fasteners must match the installation instructions. Drywall thickness or a wall's solid feel cannot substitute for identifying the supporting construction.
Consider the position of the weight
An extending bracket creates more leverage at the attachment when the screen is pulled forward. That makes the approved installation method essential even when the TV is below the bracket's published weight limit. Avoid improvised combinations of anchors and mounts.
Plan the lift as well as the support
A large, thin television may need several people or appropriate equipment to handle safely. Clear the route and work area, and follow the TV maker's handling guidance. Do not press on the panel or lift by parts that are not intended as handles.
Send the TV and mount model numbers, a wall photo and any attached-accessory details for a meaningful assessment. Screen diagonal by itself cannot establish whether the proposed installation is suitable.
